Seaford U14/13 travelled away to Midhurst.
All the team were up for the challenge and newcomer Cosmo sets the pace as Seaford battle hard to overcome the thunderstorms and play of the Midhurst opposition.
Against the backdrop of medieval ruins and during torrential rain Seaford kept their heads held high as they battled through the first half against a very strong Midhurst opposition. Seaford had to borrow one of the opposition but this did not deter them for pushing hard in the scrum and winning all of the put ins they had.
All the lads were working very hard and it was nice to see Cosmo who has only started with Seaford this Season and this only being his third week, but you could not tell as he played like he had been playing for years tackling hard, running and passing well and supporting his team mates.
The opposition were just too strong for Seaford so after having conceded a number of try's in the first half the second half saw the teams being mixed up which allowed all players to get the full benefit from the fixture.
I am sure there are a number of points that will be taken forward to the training ground but the camaraderie is something our boys do not need to be taught. I hope they hold their heads high and step up to next weeks game at home against Guernsey with full passion and commitment.
